And the winner is......

Alex and a couple of his buddies entered the Einstein Math Bowl at school. For the last three days, they have stayed after school and done head to head competition with the kids who entered. Today, their team, the math hornets, won the championship. Way to go Alex, Chase and Kaden!

More winter fun!

Since we live in Utah where we have the greatest snow on earth, we decided we would try skiing and snowboarding.

We headed up to the mountain two weeks ago for our first try. The kids were all really excited to give it a try.

Bizzy was absolutely amazing! She got right up and stayed up the whole time! She was actually ready to head-up the mountain about 30 minutes after we got there. It was really fun to watch her go!

This is how Andrea spent most of the day but she worked really hard! Gary is getting an exclusive interview with the cutest snowboarder on the mountain.

Alex did a pretty good job. We decided that it is something that we all enjoy and want to keep doing. This is something that the whole family can do and have lots of fun!

GRRRR!!

I have been trying to post some of the fun things we have been up to but my computer will not upload the pictures! It is making me really grumpy but I will keep on trying and hopefully it will work!

On another note, I just wanted to share something that Alex has decided to do. April is sexual assault awareness month so he has decided to Walk-A-Mile-In-Her-Shoes. He is going to walk a one mile course in women's high heel shoes to take a stand against sexual assault. He is also raising money to help with prevention education. I am so proud of him! You can read more about the event here. His goal is to be the walker with the most money raised. You can sponsor him here. Please make sure to leave his name in the comment box as the walker sponsored. THANKS!

Winter fun

So these are from awhile ago but we had so much fun I wanted to post them. A few weeks ago we went up to Old Main to go sledding. Gary tried to help Andrea snowboard.
Bizzy has NO FEAR! This child scares me because she will do just about anything! The faster she could go, the better!

Alex and Andrea were "sled mates" . She had no problem letting Alex take the lead and eat most of the snow.

Bizzy and Gary got some serious speed on the little saucer sled! I went down once and that was enough for me. I am lucky that Gary was there to entertain the kids while I took the pictures:-)

A day with the boys

For Alex's birthday, told him he could choose a few friends and we could go to Salt Lake to celebrate. These are some of his best buddies from school.

We went and saw Avatar in 3D.

We had a good time. One of Alex's favorite foods is Chinese. After the movie was over we headed to P.F. Changs for some YUMMY food.

He has a fun bunch of friends and we had a GREAT time!

Met up with one of Bizzy's favorite teachers from pre-school

Went to watch the USU gymnastic team compete against Boise State AND we got to meet Big Blue!

To end the night, we got signatures from all the girls. I had a really great time hanging out with my girls.

lost......

I picked Bizzy up from school on Monday and she had lost her tooth. She had a really loose one on the bottom that we have been working on for about a week so I was surprised to see that her top one had just fallen out! She was so excited and has not stopped smiling.

'cause we all just wanna be big rock stars!

My friends Megan and Candace came over for dinner and some rock band last night. These guys were my first friends when I moved to Logan 4 years ago. Candace (in the green sweatshirt) is now going to the U and so we don't get to see her very often. Megan (rockin' the drums) is at USU and we will graduate this year together. We had a great time last night.

Candace showing us how it is really done with the mic!

Megan rocks the guitar! The song below shows our stats for the song. If you will notice the guitar got 100% on the intro. That was ALL Megan!

I love being here in Logan! I have had the opportunity to get to know some really amazing people. I know that I am truly blessed by the people who are in my life and the lives of my children. Oh ya, WE ROCK!

Call now.....

I was in the bathroom this morning doing Andreas hair and Bizzy came running into the bathroom like something was really wrong. She said, "mommy, you have to come here RIGHT NOW!" I asked her what was wrong and she said, "nothing but you really need to see this cat toy. I think Turbo (our hamster) would love it. Actually she needs it mommy" I told her that I didn't have time to go see because I needed to do her sisters hair. She reluctantly left the bathroom but returned 5 minutes later with the paper posted above. She drew the toy and wrote the number down for me so I could call. Again, she explained all the good things Turbo could do with the toy and then added, "If you call right now mom you can two for the price of one AND you get a brush for her hair!" I love my kids. They crack me up!

Why so serious?!?!

Alex had a friend over today, he brought some face paints and this is what they ended up with. I think he makes a pretty good joker.

They also designed the girls. Andrea is a cat and Bizzy is a mime.

MEOW!

Bizzy trying to get out of the box. It was funny to watch them.

The pictures are a little out of sequence but I didn't want to delete this picture. It reminds me of how thankful I am for kids that get along. Even though Alex is older, he still treats his sisters well and doesn't mind hanging out with them.

Alex turns 12!

December 29th, Alex turned 12. My dad has been with us the last 2 years for my birthday and he would help the kids make me breakfast in bed. This is a tradition that the kids really like so we made Alex breakfast in bed to start his birthday.

Then the girls let him open one of the presents they got him......stretchy body parts.

Later that night we had some cake and ice cream and opened the rest of his presents. He asked for the new Mario game for the Wii and Deb wanted to surprise him so she wrapped it in a towel and then wrapped it in paper so he wouldn't be able to guess. He was really surprised when he opened it.

he got a few new movies, a shirt, a suit and ties and his friend took him snowboarding. He said it was the best birthday ever!

Oh ya, he also got an authentic cheese-head! The Green bay Packers are his favorite team and now he will feel complete watching the game!

For my kids

So I recently showed my kids the blog and they LOVED it! We have looked at all the posts several times and had some good laughs. I decided ...
