Meet Turbo

Say hello to Turbo. This is one of the two guinea pigs that we adopted from the Humane Society a few weeks ago. The other one, the kids named squeaky, died two weeks after we brought her home. It was really sad for the kids especially since they were holding her when she died. We held a little funeral for her and buried her under an apple tree. Now, Turbo gets all kinds of love from the kids.

Last night Bizzy fell asleep while holding her and when I came into the bedroom, this is what I found. Turbo sitting on Bizzy's face watching TV. It was pretty cute!

I just registered for the last time as an undergrad at Utah State University. I am not sure how I feel.......kind of bittersweet I guess. I am excited to be done and proud of myself for doing it and doing it well. I am sad to see my friends go though. I am applying to grad school here so I don't have to relocate my kids and most of my friends are applying to schools far, far away. I am grateful for the experiences that I have had and the opportunity to meet some really amazing people. As I look back over the last three years, I feel blessed to have had the chance to return to school find myself and along the way, make some friendships that will last forever. Plantin' pink tulips....again!

October is breast cancer awareness month and for the last few years, the kids and I go out and help plant tulips to remember the victims, honor the survivors and raise awareness. This year we had a great turn-out and even better weather. Last year it was snowing:-(

Every year my girls try to find whatever pink thing they own and get all dolled up for the occasion.

They got right to work digging lots of holes.

Andrea got right in the middle of all the action. The kids and I enjoyed ourselves and look forward to doing it again next year.

Corn Maze!!!

A few weeks ago the kids and I went to the corn maze with our friends Gary and LaRecia or as the kids call them Lary and GaRecia. Anyways, fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I LOVE the colors, the temperature and all the fun things we get to do. They had a HUGE hay jump.

Hmmmm........

I think I have kind-of run out of steam or at least the steam that I need to keep my blog updated. I LOVE to read other peoples blogs but they all seem to be going on fun trips or have really exciting things going on in their lives like moving into a new home, remodeling the one they live in or having a baby. The most exciting thing that I have to blog about is adopting 2 guinea pigs from the Humane Society and I am not sure if that is exciting or gross. The kids love them though. Well, I guess I am just thinking out loud on my blog as to whether or not I want to continue to update.........we'll see.
