PLANTING PINK TULIPS

As I mentioned in another post, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so every year the Womens Center plants pink tulips at buisnesses around town. Last year we did it at the new cnacer center. This year planted them at the golf course. In the picture is Ashley with her sons Jeremy and Gentry. Patricia, the director of the Womens Center and Andrea and Bizzy. It was REALLY cold. It started to snow on us while we were planting. This is the only picture I got because my battery died. OOOPS!;-)

PROPS FOR THE MUSIC MAN

Alex came home from rehearsal tonight with "his" prop for the boys band. As you can see by the look on his face, he is REALLY excited!
He is supposed to get familiar with it so here he is figuring out how to put it together. Our friend Melissa loaned it to us so I am a little nervous about breaking it (if you can break a trombone?!)
He was also told to make really "horrible" sounds because as the play goes, he is in a boys band that can't play music.....it's gonna be a long couple of weeks!

I volunteered to go on a walking field trip with Bizzy's class today and we had a lot of fun. We live really close to this park and spend a lot of time here in the summer but it is always so much more fun when you are with your friends!

YEAH! We got it out!!

So I made that first post a little prematurly. Andrea came into my room and said she REALLY wanted to take her tooth out tonight. We only wiggled it for a few seconds and it popped out! As you can see from the picture, it was a CELEBRATION!! (After she got over her tears;0)

A family affair

Andrea has had a loose tooth for a few weeks now and today she decided she was ready to pull it out. She tried for few minutes and decided that it was just to painful. This will be the 3rd tooth she has lost and our prior experiences haven't been too good. I can totally understand her because when I was little, I HATED pulling my teeth out. I asked if I could help her like I had done the other 2 times and she agreed to let me help.....
Sitting at the table wasn't working so we moved into the living room and she laid on the couch. This is really traumatic for Andrea so the whole house got involved.
Alex came out and wanted to help so I let him hold the flashlight so I could get a good view. This really was a family affair and we didn't even end up getting her tooth out!!

GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

It was my friend Jessicas birthday last week so we took her out to dinner at Cafe Sabor. It was fun when they all came out singing Feliz Cumpleanos and made her wear the really cool sombrero! After dinner we went to see a play. It was a fun night

Ashley and her boys came over to watch General Conference today and we made some YUMMY cookies. The recipe foe the cookies came off another friends blog and they are D-licious. Here are the kids enjoying the tasty treat!

GETTING READY TO WORK!

Ashley and I volunteered with the Health & Wellness Center on campus to help raise awareness on breast cancer and early detection. Here we are before we started passing out info. Of course Ashley dressed in pink but I don't think I own anything pink so I opted for the game day shirt. We had a game against BYU tonight so the shirt ended up being ok. After we were done Ashley needed a drink so we ended up at Cafe Ibis.

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

This month is breast cancer awareness month all month long. Today my friend Hollywood and I worked up on campus getting out literature to students on the importance of self exams and early detection. Just wanted to remind all of my friends how important this is!!

Decorating for Halloween

Alex and Bizzy are both so silly when the camera comes out. Here they are having some fun with the Halloween decorations. Alex put a plastic spider on his hand to try and scare all of us!

MORE HALLOWEEN FUN!

We decided to get the Halloween decorations out today and as you can see, the kids had A LOT of fun. I have just recently gotten really good at having my camera with me and capturing blog-worthy....ok, every moment, my kids are kinda tired of the camera in their face. In one of the pictures you can see that Bizzy decided to fight back and take a few pictures of her own. All in all, it was a fun night.

For my kids

So I recently showed my kids the blog and they LOVED it! We have looked at all the posts several times and had some good laughs. I decided ...
